Theatre

I went and saw carosel tonight at the huonville theatre with my nan. twas quite good altho i found the story line and songs rather weird...funny how in my love of musicals and theatre ive never seen or knew anything about carosel even though it is quite famous and known for being one of the first tragic musicals. The cast were very good. The main characters sang loud and very well. The main actor played the role excellently...haha he brought out the character he was acting very well unlike some of the other actors/ess. I love the theatre. my family has always been one to enjoy it so my mum and my grandparents made sure we were brought up the right way:P and that I knew all the classics and gave us the chance to watch live performances. Ive seen swan lake, pygmalion, pirates of penzance, christmas carol, annie, south pacific, sound of music, les mis, and quite a bit more. The first play i can remember seing properly was calamity jane. i had already seen the movie and loved it and i enjoyed the production immensley and i think since at least that time(i was about 9) i have wanted to be in a musical with all my being. REALLY REALLY!! I would just love it!! Every time i watch one i just have this feeling and i leave singing the songs kknowing which character i would be and just wanting to be in a play. Like I would absolutley love to be ruth in pirates of penzance and of course eliza in my fair lady...they would be the best plays to be in. :) During highschool i did drama and i loved it and unfortunatley couldnt do it in matric (i really wanted to go to hobart college for 1 class and do music theatre!) Nehoo i got a bit jealous of my cousins who went to big schools on the mainland and they did school musicals i realllly wanted to do it...our school was a bit small (altho great) to do something like that. ahhh the funny thing is that i really suck at both singing and acting:P but it wont stop me, i will get there...and then ur all invited to watch!!
