Thankful

As you may have read from my previous blog, I've been struggling lately with trusting God and keep trying to plan and organise my life instead of trusting and leaving it Gods hands. I've had some good reminders since then reminding me that it is all a choice i can CHOOSE to worry and do it myself or i can CHOOSE to trust God and be thankful in all situations. i cant choose or decide what im doing or where im living next year but i can make a choice to be thankful and know that where ever i may be, that God is going to use me there and im going to grow and grow. this is my choice.
Neway i still get into a big blip about it all at times so im writing myself a list to remind me of everything in my life that im thankful of and not to worry about insignificant things (well actually any things :D)

The bible is always talking about being thankful;
1 Thess 5:18: give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus
Col 3:15: And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
Psalm 52:9a: I will thank You forever, because You have done it.

Family:
I am thankful for...
my wonderful family
who love me
who help me out
who make me laugh
who join in when i laugh and when cry
who listen to me
for my wonderful sister who i can talk to about everything and that we have a lot in common
for my cool bro who i can hang out with and do silly things with and who doesnt mind me teasing his friends :D and who is growing into a wonderful man of God
my younger brother who im watching grow up from a baby into a boy who reads me stories in the mornings
my 'baby' sister who loves spending time with me and just wants to show me her 'special things' and jump on me and who is very witty especially for a 6yo.
im thankful that im seeing them grow up to be wonderful godly people
for my mum who loves us and gives up so much so that we can have, and thats she can be so silly and fun
for my dad because he is so passionate about youth and hes pretty cool
for my stepmum cuz shes my friend and always wants to know whats happening in my life and we can just sit and chat or just sit and be comfortable not talking.


Church Community:
Im thankful for...
a church that wants to hear from Gods heart
that puts aside being popular to being true to God
that has high standards
that is focused on the community and world wide missions
who thinks kids are very important
that is very loving and is my family
a place where its alright to cry and laugh and dance and yodel :P
my church friends...my girls in my small group and for the youth ppls
kids club and how it gives me a chance to love and witness to kids who have horrible childhoods and need to feel like legends and that they are important.
that i feel like im home when im there

Tasmania:
i thankful that...
i live in the most beautiful place ever
i grew up in the huonvalley which is very pretty
we have every season in a day....keeps us on our toes:)
we have hot summers that arent too hot
we have snow
we dont have to drive far to get anywhere
the cities arent 'citified'

Politics/Freedom:
im thankful that...
we live in a democracy
we have freedom to worship God in the open
we have freedom of speech
we are wealthy and do not lack for the most part
becuz of this we can help out other less fortunate

Nursing:
Im thankful that...
this degree is giving me the opportunity to help people and to travel
im meeting new people and seeing new places
its enjoyable
its not too hard
i have the opportunity to study and get a higher education!!

Friends:
Im thankful that...
i have friends everywhere
they love me and i love them
i can talk to them
they encourage me
make me laugh
help me
dance with me, sing with me
be silly with me
chat with me
they are beautiful beautiful people

and sooooooooo much more...
i know its a long blog but its mainly to remind me then for anyones reading.
but maybe it will encourage you.
but remember if ur thankful it shifts ur thinking and things will start looking up
